Dr. Shalaka Shintre Shimpi completed her MBBS from Pune University In 1993 and her M.D.In Gynaecology and Obstetrics from Shivaji University in 1997.
After working extensively in various Institutes and Hospitals across the country, enriching her knowledge and experience,
She now runs her own Clinic, by the name Soukhya on Prabhat Road in Deccan area. She is also a Honorary Consultant with Jehangir hospitals and Cloud 9 group of hospitals.
Dr Shalaka is an Active Rotarian and conducts health awareness programs in various school and colleges.
Looking at the ill effects of stresses of urban life, Dr. Shalaka regularly conducts Corporate Training workshops for Working Women.
As a part of her commitment to the social welfare, she conducts many such awareness programs for women from various strata of the society. She recently conducted a seminar in Yerawada Central Jail, which essentially looked into the Mental and Physical health of convicted female inmates.
Dr. Shalaka regularly contributes to the social media with informative and educational write-ups about women's health and other issues. She recently recieved an award for best medical writeups for the same.
